Anyone know any good salad dressing recipes?

  • I was usually a ranch/honey mustard kind of gal but those aren't healthy and definitely contain the "evil 6" so I will take any and all suggestions! Thank you

Great question. Here are a few recipes that I love that you can do on the Ignite plan:

Note: I tend to eyeball all of the ingredients rather than measuring them, so I have not listed the amount of each ingredient to use. Just taste along the way until you find the amount of each ingredient that you like.

    1) Raspberry vinaigrette

    White wine vinegar
    Olive oil
    Crushed raspberries

In a small bowl, whisk together oil and vinegar, then whisk in crushed raspberries until the dressing turns a pinkish red.

    2) Garlic herb vinaigrette (makes a larger batch, so I measure this one)

1/2 cup raw apple cider vinegar
    1-2 tablespoons dijon mustard
    3 garlic cloves, minced
pinch of sea salt and black pepper
2 tablespoons fresh herbs or 2 teaspoons dried (basil, oregano, chives, and thyme, or whatever combination you enjoy)
    1 1/2 cups olive oil

Sounds like you love creamy dressings, so here are a few creamy dressings:

    1) Mustard vinaigrette

    Brown mustard
    Olive oil
    White wine vinegar

    Whisk ingredients together.

    2) Creamy tahini (makes a bigger batch - I do measure this one)

    1/2 cup lemon juice
    1/3 cup extra-virgin olive oil
    1/3 cup tahini,
    2 cloves garlic, minced
    1 teaspoon salt
    Freshly ground pepper, to taste

    3) Avocado dressing

    Mashed avocado
    Olive oil
    White wine vinegar
    Lemon juice

Whisk together olive oil, vinegar, and lemon juice. Mix in mashed avocado.

These sound amazing! I just tried the garlic herb one, and it was fantastic!

I like olive oil and red wine vinegar whisked together then tossed in salad!
