Bean sprouts - good or bad?

  • Bean sprouts are listed under the "Best Veggies to eat" while doing Ignite, but also listed under Sneaky Ingredients for containing soy. What gives? To eat or not to eat, that is the question.

Depending on who you ask, bean sprouts are considered a legume. It is disputed because bean sprouts are the SPROUTS from the bean, but not necessarily a "bean" per se.

Some diets, including the Paleo diet, call for limited or no legume consumption. Soy is also a no-no.

In sum, it depends on what diet you follow. Most diets say bean spouts, peas, and other seeds are A-OK.
