Can I use a dumbell with rounded ends instead of a medicine ball?

  • I have a 6.5 pound set of weights with really rounded ends, could I use those to replace a medicine ball in workouts like Cardio Ball?

I haven't done cardio ball, but I have substituted a dumbbell for the medicine ball before. Mostly because the lightest ball I could find is 6lbs, and sometimes I need 4lbs to work up to 6lbs. As long as you can do the move safely and feel the same muscles working I'm sure it's fine.

I sub weights for a medicine ball all the time. Works well for me.
