Do I have to have shoes on when doing the workouts if I'm in my own house?

    No, you don't have to, but if you are new to working out you might want to wear shoes for stability's sake. Cody Storey doesn't wear shoes in many of his workout videos, but you have to have good balance and strong stability muscles in your ankles and feet. If you are comfortable with it, go for it!

    I agree definately not. Its what works best for you. I have strong legs, ankles, and feet and i workout on carpet which catches my shoes and makes it more dangerous for me so i always do barefoot.

    I found that when starting out without shoes some of the workouts (especially ones with a great deal of jumping) would hurt the arches, but after a few times it built resistance.

      I am no texpert but I have not used shoes yet.
      Good question I would like to hear about too.

    When I workout for a week straight in traditional athletic shoes, I wind up injuring my foot. When I wear Vibrams, I injure my Achille's tendon. A few months ago, I began exercising barefoot (on a carpeted surface) and I haven't had a foot or ankle injury since. I now only wear shoes to exercise outdoors.
