Does anyone have suggestions for begining the program with a bad knee? I'm waiting to have surgery, so I can excersize hard....

    I would go easy with your knee issues.

    I worn out my knees and had both scoped and then paritial knee replacement.
    Doing well now but ca't run for long distances which used to be my strength.
    I started the DB 25 days ago and am seeing some results, lost 5 pounds and a belt hole.
    For me the scope did not help much...good luck to you we are all different.

    Working out in the pool is a great idea. If you have access to a gym with an indoor pool, or you can do just about any exercise in a chair. look up this video on youtube. It may be inspirational. Good Luck

    I have bad knees, I just do what i can when it's bothering my knees and then simplify after I can't take it anymore. However, strengthening the muscles around a problem area is always good, I know it's painful!
