Gluten Free Shopping

  • My husband and I are starting Daily Burn and I'm doing ignite and he's just following with me. We live in Milwaukee where cheese and beer are king! So, this could be difficult for us.

Gluten free is becoming more popular but is hard to find. Is anyone having trouble finding things like almond and coconut flour?

If your grocery store has a natural foods-type area, start there. If not, perhaps look for a grocery store that specializes in natural foods. I didn't have a very hard time finding those ingredients... Good luck!

You can also order ingredients online from sites like Amazon if you can wait a few days in the interim.

Do you have an actual gluten allergy? Why gluten-free?

Answering my own question if anyone else in Milwaukee is doing Ignite: Trader Joes by Bayshore (or in Madison), Outpost on KK in Bayview, any Woodman's, or Whole Foods by Columbia St. Mary's/UWM. I do not recommend Pick n' Save, as it took 2 hours to find many of the ingredients for Ignite meals with very little luck.

I'm new to GF and Ignite too and have found that Vitacost (online) has a huge variety of GF items for decent prices.
