How about people that don't have 9-5 work hours? How do they fit exercise and dieting into night shift?
I work the night shift also. I have a job in which I can workout at work so I just do DB at my desk. When I can't work out at night I usually work on my days off which is 3 days a week. I also have a burst of energy after my overnights in which I clean, workout, and eat breakfast when returning home and before I head to bed. I have trouble eating lunch because I'm usually sleep during the day. I prefer to work out either very early in the morning or very late at night (before going to work-doing two DB 15 wrkouts) . I think to each it's own. I have to force myself to eat balanced all day. I'm lucky that I can workout while doing my job. You may have to build in healthy snacks during the night shift and take the time after work to have breakfast while watching the morning news. If your job is too tiring or strenuous then I know it may be difficult.
I am also a night shift nurse as well as a trainer here, and I workout after my shift.. or before I go in. I keep my eating patterns the same however so that its not constantly fluctuating and being confused. Hope this helps!
