How accurate is the calorie burn reading?

  • I just joined Daily Burn and just did my first Cardio Sculpt workout. At the end there was a calculated calorie burn? How accurate is that? Is it based on my personal stats?

The estimated calories for exercise are roughly that, estimates. It takes into account your gender, age (if given), and then uses an algorithm that was derived based on the statistics of average men and women using a 'medium' intensity. Of course, these aren't specific parameters so there can and will be differences to other machines and devices that use different algorithms or methods to display the calories burned. The only 'true' accurate way to get a good read on your calories burned would be from a heart rate monitor.
