how accurate is the calorie counter that shows during and after a workout? Is it based on my weight that I entered?
I was wondering the same thing. I am using the DB heart rate monitor and I am not sure how accurate it is given my weigh in on the DB website. Does it automatically transfer to the DB app???
The estimated calories for exercise are roughly that, estimates. It takes into account your gender, age (if given), and then uses an algorithm that was derived based on the statistics of average men and women using a 'medium' intensity. Of course, these aren't specific parameters so there can and will be differences to other machines and devices that use different algorithms or methods to display the calories burned. The only 'true' accurate way to get a good read on your calories burned would be from a heart rate monitor.
