How do you take measurement?

  • It would be nice to have a detailed explanation. Perhaps I am the only one but I have never understood what is considered hips or bustline, where exactly do I measure?

    Great question!

For your hip measurement, wrap the tape measure around the widest part of your hips. This will be a different spot on each woman depending upon the torso size. If you look in the mirror while you do this, it will be easier to find the widest part to measure.

For your bust size, wrap the tape measure around your torso and over the widest place on your breasts. Measure across fullest part and across shoulder blades.

Let me know if you need additional info!

Thanks I will try that. This might sound funny but when doing your waist I assume you don't suck in your belly but are you supposed to push it out?

I would say neither. Just stand straight up and rest your midsection. Don't push out, and don't suck in. Just stand in a relaxed posture.

    Here's a good diagram - http://www.dummies.com/how-to...

Most people take the waist measurement at or below the belly button, when the natural waist is actually an inch or two above on almost everybody!
