I am trying to figure out the best way to get into shape for jogging, how do I build stamina to do this?
I found that the best way to get used to jogging was to do it! Try the Couch-to-5K program. You can find it for free online or as an app for your phone. Its a 9 week program that gradually gets you to being able to run (or jog) a 5K. It starts off with walking/jogging intervals that gradually become longer until eventually you jog the whole thing. It really helped me! Good luck :D
