I just completed True Beginner program and loved it. What program do people recommend to do next?
So glad to hear you've completed 'True Beginner'. The next program subscribers then move onto is the 'Cardio Sculpt' or 'Total Cardio' series which include 6 workouts a week with Yoga on the 7th day.
As for a recommendation, what you can do moving forward, if you find either Cardio Sculpt or Total Cardio too difficult, we checked in with Justin on what his recommendations are for those who finished 'True Beginner'. He said that going back to 'True Beginner' is just fine if other programs a bit too challenging. In going back to 'True Beginner' he asks that you find those moments where you were really challenged, and work on those. If you over-modified or took a lot of breaks, try it again without the modifications and breaks.
I did Cardio Sculpt after True Beginner, and I found it to be a good next step. It was challenging enough that I felt like I was getting a real workout, but it wasn't too hard that I felt discouraged. I was worried that I wouldn't be able to keep up before I started it, but there are modified versions of every single exercise so you can take it easier or ramp up once you feel you've got a movement down and need to be more challenged. I definitely saw improvement in my cardiovascular health, strength, and tone.
I'm currently doing Total Cardio (which I started after finishing Cardio Sculpt), and personally, I wouldn't recommend it after True Beginner. The Tabata movements require a lot more strength and are more advanced than Cardio Sculpt. I think doing Cardio Sculpt first will help build strength and stamina for either Total Cardio or Tabata Transformation after. (I can't say how it would lead into Inferno. I haven't done that one yet.)
I hope that helps; it was just my personal experience.
Cardio Sculpt is probably a good idea, but if it gets difficult and too frustrating, maybe do a second True Beginner. I had to go back to it because I found I took too many days off of Cardio Sculpt when I started getting frustrated, and I think I wasn't doing so well. I figured maybe I needed some extra time for the basics. Quite a few people seem to do True Beginner twice, so if you try Cardio Sculpt and it's too tough don't feel bad. If you like it and it works for you, that's awesome! :)
