i'm going to have foot surgery on 2/26/13,therefore no standing weight bearing exercises,what exercises can i do sitting down?

    Hmmmm try working on your obliques...so sit at an Obtuse angle, and instead of doing the traditional 'situps', turn your upper body about 90 degrees (to the left,then to the right,and repeat) only moving your chest and head with your hands behind your head looking towards a wall (or whatever is on the side of you at the moment.You should feel a burn after you've done 10 or 15 of these. So your stomach area and lower body should not be moving, just the upper parts :) Hope this helps. Good luck with everything!

    you can do a bunch of upper body work with weights while sitting down! Curls, presses, front raises. even doing leg extension with no weight while sitting in the chair will help activate the quad and hamstring just really focus on flexing the muscle. This will help with muscle memory when you start to come back!
