Ignite/ balance. Marathon training. Mid long run nibbles?

I am training for a marathon. During my long runs I use to use jelly beans or babies to keep me going. Can anyone suggest an ignite friendly and easy to consume running snack?

Running shoe stores sell a jell you can squeeze into your mouth on the run..
I like granola bars. Have you tried an apple?

I second raisins. I also started carrying oranges after they gave them out in the middle of my marathon. It was a great boost, and since I already have a Camelbak backpack it was easy to add to my gear.
