Is tahini allowed during Ignite? I'm curious as to whether foods like hummus or babaganoush are okay to eat during Ignite.

I use the Tahini from Trader Joes. If you look at the label it contains none of the evil six. Also, if you make your own Hummus from scratch, you can choose what you put in it. It should be easy enough to make without the evil six. However, I did notice that my Toasted Sesame oil contained soy oil in it as well, so when I made my Hummus I had to get a new Toasted Sesame oil.

Yes, it is allowed. I agree with hcreel - making your own hummus is easy and it's great to be able to choose what you add vs. what you don't.

I can't say whether it's ;allowed' or not but I can tell you that if you find a good brand (read the labels) it's a really versatile and yummy ingredient. Aside from hummus I mix it with bananas (either blend it or just drizzle it on top of sliced bananas), apples, drop a spoonful in smoothies, mix it with roasted vegetables (and blend that to create a dip) and use it in salad dressings.
