Is the detox shake necessary?
This is my first day as a member of daily burn and ignite. I was at 230 and I've managed to get down to 200 and stay there for a year with diet and light exercise. I have hit a wall. I'm learning the basics of the recommended diet. I must admit that I'm a little turned off by the detox shake. I'm a believer in natural foods. I believe people in the past centuries have maintained good health without special shakes. I've experienced nasty side effects with products such as "ripped fuel" and energy drinks. Because of these bad experiences I'm skeptical and hesitant to take man made supplements of any kind. I'm not a bodybuilder. I'm just a guy trying to get in decent shape and stay off medications. Do I need these shakes? Can I get by with exercise and the natural foods, vegetables and other items listed in Ignite's grocery list?smacky311 by:
I'm not a "daily burn pro" (this is my first day as well), but you might try a green smoothie instead. I've been drinking them for breakfast for about 6 months now and have been losing weight. Just add your favorite fruit, green leafy veggies (spinach is good to start with as you can't really taste it in the smoothie), and coconut water and you've got a yummy, healthy breakfast shake. Based on what I'm seeing in the ignite program so far, it looks like this would fall under the guidelines.
