What are some breakfast alternatives to using fuel?
I'm looking for some recipes for breakfast without using the fuel supplement (I can't afford it) I'm not opposed to having a shake in the morning or eggs or anything really. But I want to make sure I'm getting all the nutrients I need to start the day while avoiding the pesky evil 6. Any help or suggestions would be wonderfully appreciated ( I'm stating my 21 days in 6 days and I want to be prepared).CodyGreen by:
No you dont have to hit up the health food store or buy protein power. 4 eggs are roughly the same amout of protein as you would put in a shake. Or you can do 1 egg and 3 Tablespoons of hemp seeds if you can find them. Hemp seeds are good in shakes, salads, or omelets. Hemp seeds are also a complete protein.
You can look for other vegan protein shakes - they generally avoid the evil 6 (watch out for sugar though...) and maybe you can find a better deal in order to afford it? My local health food store has a special on a brand called Vega - going to stock up!
Hemp seeds are great! 10 grams of protein not to mention a ton of other healthy components. I make a shake with Almond milk plus which has 5 grams of protein and almond butter which has 7 grams of protein and hemp seeds plus any fruit you like. Its delicious and fruity.
Chia seeds, i suggest grinding into a powder first are a great supplement as well as hemp seeds. FYI-you can take chia seed or flax seed meal and use as an egg alternative for veggie burgers, meatballs, etc. 1 Tablespoon meal with 2 Tablespoons warm water. Mix and sit in a bowl for 10 mins. equals one egg.
