What do I drink instead of Gatorade?

  • What should I drink that is Ignite approved that would be good for drinking during workouts?

There is this electrolyte mix that Emergen-C sells that love. No sugar. It kind of tastes like lemon lime Gatorade without the sugar.

      here are the best options:
1)Lemon juice in the morning 30 minutes before a meal is a wonderful drink that helps absorb the good and eliminate the bad in your GI.
2)coconut water has potassium and other natural electrolytes, it is very hydrating, delicious and can be used in many drinks
      3)homemade electrolyte drink:
      -1 cucumber sliced w/peel
      - 1 lemon sliced w/peel
      -pinch of sea salt

Vega Sport makes an "Electrolyte Hydrator" that I really like. All of their products are gluten, dairy, sugar and soy free, so I think they'd be compatible with Ignite. I love their protein powder too!

Coconut water is my drink of choice -- 100% natural and has the SAME electrolyte balance as our blood plasma. I try to drink one a day. Remember to stay away from the meat (as that is where all the calories are).

Yes, but watch the sugar levels in coconut water. Can be quite high! I have ran half marathons-and my drink of choice is pure, filtered H20!

One of my favorite gatorade alternatives tastes great and travels well. Basically, you buy a tube of flavored electrolyte tablets from a running or endurance sports store, and add one to your water bottle right before your workout. Make sure to avoid the "sugar-free" tablets, which contain artificial sweeteners.

Coconut Water! If you can't stand the taste add a 1/4 cup of your fav. all natural juice :)

Flavored coconut waters (like coconut water + pineapple or acai/pomegranate) are really delicious

I drink this sports drink that has no artificial flavors, sweeteners, preservatives, etc. It provides energy through this B-vitamin blend. Organic, and much better than Gatorade.
