What if you have a peanut allergy, what is a good substitute for almonds?

Are you allergic to both peanuts and almonds? They are in different families (peanuts are actually legumes, not tree nuts), so you may not be allergic to almonds if you are allergic to peanuts.

I like gluten-free chips with hummus. Not the best option, but it works for a busy day's snack. If not chips, then baby carrots and celery, but be careful because both chick peas (hummus) and carrots are high on the glycemic index chart.

Pumpkin and sunflower seeds are both tasty choices.
