What is your favorite source of lean protein?

I like nonfat plain greek yogurt, sashimi, mussels, and cajun spiced catfish that I get from the grocery store for easy lean protein. I love eggs, but some weeks, I get really bored with eggs. I live on the coast, so I eat a lot of seafood.

Egg whites are my first EASY choice. My second choice takes a little more effort. I raise my own beef and chevon. In the fall wild game is on the menu. Beef and other meat option are not bad per say. It is the quality offered and selected that can ruin a diet. Try some rabbit stew lean meat high in protein and easy to find( well at least for me it is)

Im fond of a tuna salad lettuce roll. Tuna with egg whites pickles (with juice) rolled in romaine lettuce. You can add cranberries or dried pineapple or carrots as well.

Eggwhites or fish (any will do) are my top choices. It is of course important to get quality ingredients.

Anyone else find that varying your lean protein can get challenging? I eat a lot of Greek yogurt, ground turkey (which IS delicious as tacos, sbrobin), chicken in all its shapes, sizes, and forms, and I've recently added extra firm tofu. I like that it has a custard-like consistency similar to French toast, flan, or bread pudding. For breakfast I do a dredge of egg whites and then panko mixed with cinnamon, nutmeg, brown sugar (less than a teaspoon), and grains of paradise. It's all the delicious of French toast without all the carbs AND with added protein.

Sashimi is by far my favorite protein source... but on a day-to-day basis, I have egg whites.

Wildwood SprouTofu High Protein Super Firm Tofu. It has a super dense texture--not like regular firm tofu. I find it at Fresh & Easy.
