What results have you achieved from Ignite?

  • I just want hear experiences of few people before I invest and burden my family with this. Doing ignite would mean throwing away hundreds of $$$ worth of groceries for me and I am a mom on a budget. How did this program work for you? Was it worth it?

I've lost 12 pounds in a month and a half and my body is the type to hold onto weight! I have decreased cravings and my running has improved so much! So worth it, but maybe don't throw out the groceries but let your fam eat them up and slowly transition them to eating an ignite styles of diet.

I am only on day 12, and it's been really easy. I have made many of the recipes and they are delicious! My husband isn't following the diet, but he eats the food I make and really enjoys it. Tonight he thanked me for making such a delicious meal (flank steak chimachurri). I'm only weighing myself once weekly, but I had lost 8 1/2 lbs after one week! I continue to feel and see changes, which has made it easy to stay disciplined. The hardest part was figuring out what products I could use that didn't contain the Evil 6. Now that I know which are good (watch for cane sugar added to almond butter, or almond milk), it's easy to just go shop for what I'm running out of. I've made a couple of the sweet snacks and they are great. My coworkers wanted the recipe for the creamy coconut bars. I use the daily burn workouts for those days I don't get to the gym and I have been able to do them at home or work. For $10/month, how can you go wrong?? Since I started it, we haven't gone out to eat once. I just can't do that if I want to be disciplined. That has saved us a ton of money alone!

Thanks for sharing. I hope to get my husband on board as well. He can eat anything and gain nothing so he doesn't have to see the result of bad eating when he looks in the mirror like myself.

Like some of the others on here I do make meals for the whole family that they will actually eat. You might have to be creative about using some things you didn't think of before, and read ingredient labels, but after one week I am down 5 pounds and I'm feeling good about this working. I've struggled my whole life and was always good as maintaining weight but could never lose more than 5 lbs at a time. If you think maybe an allergy is holding you back this is a lot easier than going in for a test!

They do give you the flexibility to go hard core or just avoid the evil 6. Grocery shopping isn't any more complicated than it was before, because you can find most of these items in the store or are buying them anyway. A few things like pasta if its something you crave, might be a couple dollars more per bag, but meat and veggies are always the same. You will also be amazed at what kids will eat sometimes. I have 4 in elementary school and sometimes they want to eat what I'm eating just because I am eating it and its "special".

I think it's only as complicated as you make it. If you feel the need to go hard core, then you bet it will be harder. If you just can't then start with the 6. I think that was all I was trying to say. But then again, I was already trying to eat healthier before i started this and I live somewhere that has access to allergy friendly items on the local grocery shelves. So maybe my view is skewed there. But I have made food the family will eat, I just have to get creative sometimes. Other times I just have to eat something else, but I still sit down with them.

That is so cute. You make it sound so simple but the abundance of information on the site is almost overwhelming, so much to remember.
