What's the difference between asparatame and sucrolose?

  • Are both as bad for me? Do they both count as artificial sweeteners?

Asparatame and Sucrolose are both artifical sweeteners. Sucrolose is in many products, it is important to read the label if you are trying to avoid it. I stopped using artificial sweeteners, mainly Splenda which is sucrolose, because it was suspected with causing headaches and other minor issues. Almost like an allergy, I guess. Needless to say, I stopped using it awhile ago and don't have the daily headaches or other issues any longer. I check every thing before I buy it and will not use if it has artificial sugar. I prefer to use real sugar in moderation now.

From what I've read Stevia is okay since it is not added sugar or a sugar substitute.
