I actually just picked up a Polar H7 HRM yesterday at Sports Authority. It was $79, but I believe they are significantly cheaper on Amazon. Day 1 with it...so far, so good. I was debating between Polar and Wahoo, but Polar won out for me because in addition to Low Signal Bluetooth Transmission, it also has 5kHz transmission, which allows it to communicate with a lot of different gym equipment (treadmills, stationary bikes, etc).

i have had a few Polar HRM over the years and always liked them best! I have gotten mine at Sports authority as well. you don't need the fanciest version. I have the F4... it monitors calories burned, max/min HR zones, and has the option to download so you can track! Hope htis helps!

Amazon has them refurbished, and I've seen them on woot.com every few weeks, if you're looking for a bargain.
