why did i lose 6lbs then gain 4 back all in less then a week?

  • i started working out 2 weeks ago and went on a diet 1 week ago, i lost 6 lbs within the first 4 days of the diet then gained 4lbs back 2 days later. on the up side i lost 4 inches but my pants still fit the same. its very discouraging but im trying to keep going thats why i joined daily burn. can any one help me understand why i gained the weight back.

    The first few days of a diet it is really common to lose a lot of water weight, which will fluctuate anyway. I only weigh myself once a week and at the same time of day every time. Otherwise it's easy to get discouraged and frustrated as the scale goes up and down. Congrats on losing the inches!

      If you are losing 1 or 2 pounds a week, you are doing great. Keep it up!

      I don't weigh myself at all, because of water weight fluctuations etc. What I do, is use my clothes as a measure of weight lost and gain. You have to remember on your weight loss journey as you lose fat and gain muscle, muscle weighs more than fat. If you haven't lost any weight, you may have lost inches. The are many ways to win the battle of lost weight.

    Could also be water weight don't get discouraged. Keep at it
