I do tooI figure I have about 105 to go. I've lost 25 since June 1 but am floundering a bit right now. I have joined a couple of challenges on my way (20 lb, 100 lb, walk 100 miles) and need to exercise much more to really get going, but I'll do it! Posted by smeeker on Sep. 03, 2009 at 04:08PM |
I kind of do too...I started at 83 kg, while my *upper ideal weight on the medical check-up chart* is 50 kg. Theorically that makes 33 kg (= 72 pounds) to lose. It's very likely I will find myself slim enough before reaching 50kg, so my mirror will decide when I stop. I have already lost 19 kg (=42 pounds). That takes time, but I don't find it difficult. (Most of the time), I eat regularly, healthy and balanced, it's not a real diet. I avoid the junk binging that made me fat. To get a calorie deficit, I do lots of walking/eliptical, sometimes walking. I do yoga and some DVD aerobic for shaping up. That was tough to start... to get from chaos eating and spreading myself on the couch to more regular habits. But no, it's OK, I can go on like that forever. I set intermediate a 5 kg goal on Dailyburn, then another 5 kg. I find it more motivating. So everybody, let's go !

welcome everyone! I am struggling with calories! when i am watching my food intake, i have a real psychological prob with calories, i have been around 1100-1200 and my trainer is adamant i move it up to 1500-1600, i am afraid i think - i am going to try it but i am going to have to stay off the scale for a week while i am experimenting, if i gain at least it will only make me mad once! I do!My lifetime goal is to lose 132 lbs. I realize it's going to take me a long while, but I'm OK with that. I just have to have patience. I am so comforted to see that there are other people in the same situation as me to relate to. In my day to day life, I am surrounded by people that have never had problems with their weight, or have weight loss goals of 15lbs that are very challenging for them. I cannot relate to these people very well. On Dailyburn there are a few people at my size and there are also a few people who USED to be my size. I have one person as my motivator who used to be my size and now looks amazing. It is such an inspiration and so exciting to have this person as a motivator, because I feel that one day, I can be just like him. I feel that if at least one other person has done it, that I can do it too. Posted by Patti234 on Sep. 23, 2009 at 08:59AM |

Yes, 80+I have been struggling to lose...This month I have actually really pushed to get some exercise in. The motiviation to exercise is hard. The diet is there...now it is just a matter of moving. I work at a desk job 8 hours a day:( I have a little one...so I try to spend as much time with her. Fitting in exercise is challenging. I am hoping to find the support to keep me motivitated to keep moving. Posted by tweetyw28 on Oct. 30, 2009 at 10:12AM |

Count me inJust found this site today and have about 150 to lose. I just turned 50 and really don't want to spend my "golden" years in poor health but that's where I'm headed. Would love to add some motivators to help keep me going! Posted by mlg1959 on Nov. 23, 2009 at 11:28AM |
