I'm almost there!
i have 2 pounds to go! my goal is to hit 240lbs by Christmas. I'm actually a little excited. 240 is just my first goal, though. i thought it'd be better to set multiple smaller goals. turns out i was right. i haven't officially completed the first goal and i'm looking forward to the next one. :)

No Sweets November
I've been avoiding sweets for the month of november, and i've lost 6 pounds so far. You could try it in december, but then you might not enjoy the holidays as much. instead, for december, make yourself do more exercise on the days you have sweets

Feeling pretty good
I'm starting to what people mean by "missing it" when they don't do it for a few days. Also, I'm realizing that water plays a big part in performing my workouts. I didn't run for as long today. I only ran 2 miles instead of the 3 I normally try for. I also didn't feel that strong while using the machines, but I increased my weights on bench and lat pulldowns today.

Had a good run today
Today I worked on getting closer to Treadmill goal. Usually i set the speed for 5 mph (12 min/mile) and keep it there for the whole time. But today I set it for 6mph (10 min/mile). I ran the first 2.2 miles at that speed. then I slowed slightly to 5.5mph. at the 2.8 mile mark (the length of green lake) my time was 29.16. In the last quarter mile or so, I cranked up the speed for a better time and ended at 31.19. in other news: my moobs appear to be drooping less, which is nice.
