IrishEyes's Journal
I guess...
It's my mathematical side that likes totalling, but you are right - it certainly puts things in perspective. I wasn't going to go to swim class after such an awful exam, but I decided to go anyway and came out grinning :) I think some times it is much more important to ensure you do things to make you happy, not just everything you need to do...

Applebee's "under 550" meal
I tried one of them yesterday, the shrimp with island rice. It was tasty and I was pleased to see that DB has it listed at 290 calories. Then I saw the sodium count - hold sh**!! More than my entire day's allocation. I guess unless I cook it myself (not my favorite activity) I just can't win.

MUFA's
had to search for what they were!! but yes monounsaturated fats right? dark chocolate, fruits, veg and nuts etc are high in these healthy fats, i have read a lot about them. Those chocolates sound nice, even if they do have sugar in! The ones i like are dark chocolate too and either have a strawberry or raspberry fondent centre in them, i havent had any since last summer i think so i am in control even though there are 2 big tins of them from christmas! I still have halloween and christmas candy things and easter is coming next, i may just open a sweet shop! The zig-zag thing sounds good if it works, for now though i am going to try and figure out what i need to be eating everyday as i only eat 800-900 per day and i exercise like 4-5 times per week so i am not the best at the moment! But Lila and Fitfemme are helping me work it out, hopefully we will sort it out and all will go well

DB workout schedule, etc.
Ended up with a migraine, thankfully not a really bad one but I sure wasn't going to go for a run! Now I'm a day behind on my "45 Days..." workout schedule, back to upper body per their calendar when I haven't done lower. I also noticed that the pushups I did for the upper body segment on Thursday have not posted to the 10K pushup challenge. I think I'm going to set up my own schedule and training program, based on theirs (which is actually pretty good) but with a few preferential exercise changes and without the set days. (Didn't eat so well, either - OK on calories, but over on sat fat, etc.)

Yum
raspberry cremes, are they the chocolates with the fondent centres? i love those, expecially the ones you get in the Quality Street tins of chocolate!
