I haven’t tried, but I am looking for an aerobic routine to incorporate into my workouts, and this sounds interesting. I am concerned about injury, so if I’m going to run, this sounds like the right approach. Do you have any suggestions for good resources to learn about it? |

about 2 – 4 Tbsp of PB a day. I have been into almond butter as well. PB is the majority of my fat intake each day. I was eating it at night mostly as my evening snack but changed it up to have it as my morning snack lately. Topic: Diet and Nutrition / No more Weight lost |

Thanks all. My workouts are pretty intense and I would say that outside of the gym I am lightly active. My cardio sessions range from 30 min to an hour and I don’t take it easy. Lots of sprint work, 3 miles runs, and steep hiking. I do have 2 small kids so I am always running around with them every day of the week. It is really the desk job thing that got me thinking. I will leave it at moderately active as it has worked for me thus far. Topic: Diet and Nutrition / Nutrition Settings |

Peanut butter is a caloric bomb and you have it enough soon. Many people eat it when they want something sweet but if you check its quantity you see that is has a lot of all three macronutrients. How much peanut butter a day have you eaten so far? Topic: Diet and Nutrition / No more Weight lost |

My doctor has told me not to run at all for a while due to my knees, even though chi running is better I will keep off trying again until my knees are good. But I read trough the book and it really seems good and I really want to learn it but it feels like I’m.. falling… When I try. So it’s weird. :( |

I would say start with what you have, moderately active. Monitor how you progress and feel for the next few weeks. If you aren’t seeing results, then you can switch to lightly active. Topic: Diet and Nutrition / Nutrition Settings |

Thanks for the input. Simi_FIT – my personal trainer is ‘old school’, a 60 year old retired former pro bodybuilding trainer and I absolutely love his technique recommendations so far. I personally agree with you and like the idea of a full body workout routine, going hard every second day. However, he swears by a split workout routine – plus he has a good point in that I can do a broader variety of movements in a focused muscle area for the workout time period AND allow a better recovery period. Nightfirez – I am pushing myself a bit and row 5K virtually everynight, but I row so much better about an hour after my workout with a snack in between. Also, I have a hectic work schedule and the only way to get a decent weightlifting workout in and still be kind to my dog, is to do a 30" warm-up run before I workout … those are light runs at best and really no strain on my muscle system. It’s the harder runs, the ones that really challenge me, that I have to figure out because arnthoria is absolutely right – those runs hammer your quads big time. However, I have to say that, from a personal perspective, the elliptical machine is probably one of my most preferred aerobic workouts … I just don’t have easy access to one. When I can afford to get a good quality one, I hope to convince my wife to get one for our home gym. arnthoria thanks for the input, I know you are big into running and biking so I will try your advice and design my routine so that my long runs are the day following my leg workouts. I will be starting with a two day split workout and have every wednesday and saturday as a ‘rest day’ from the hard exercises. Meaning leg workouts will be part of my Monday routine, then long run on Tuesday prior to my workouts, light run and rest day Wednesday and back to the cycle on Thursday…which means I should still be able to get a good long run on either saturday or sunday, which is nice to have the option … as I do a hard row (10K+) on both days during the week-end as well. Im just getting in to running stepping it up a bit moving on from what o normally do on the ellipse Currently I split things up like this Day 1 Chest and Biceps though to stop my legs from getting hammered I no longer warm up with running and row instead :) or if my legs are feeling good and up to it will jump on the ellipse and bung it on a high setting generally do 3/4 mile on that in a pop though always after my lifting session to get a good fat burn other good thing about that is it has given me good definition to my calves Topic: Fitness and Exercise / BodyBuilders Wanted! |

Dance in Macau is part of the Busama Group and is dedicated in jobs to exotic dancers and hostess jobs in Asia. We are very eager and energized about the opening of some amazing clubs in Hong Kong and Macau this year and it will open up a lot of jobs in exotic dancing and let’s not forget all the hostess jobs as well. Tantra Macau Entertainment Complex is one of the opulent gentlemen’s clubs due to open its magnificent doors in October 2010. It will be situated inside the Venetian Hotel and Casino and we have been excited about this venue for a long time now. The Prestige Club in Macau is another superb table dancing club. The opening of this venue was only announced recently for July 16th 2010 which did not give us much time to get them girls for the opening but exotic strip dancing jobs will be open all year round. Jobs in exotic dancing have just become interesting again and it is about time that we had some elegant new table dancing clubs on the international exotic strip dancing circuit. We also have a boutique table dancing club in Hong Kong to add to the list. These bookings are all located in the same region, which offers a great choice of jobs in exotic dancing and hostess jobs in Asia so far. Topic: General Discussion / Dance in Macau |

BMR tells you how many calories you burn when sitting or just doing nothing. And then you have to add more calories if you need. The best way to determine your BMR is trying and watching where your body weight goes. Topic: Diet and Nutrition / Nutrition Settings |

@CrankyGoat you don’t need to have split weight routines actually so you would have more time to run. Topic: Fitness and Exercise / BodyBuilders Wanted! |

@kday33 This is only true when using the advanced diet goals. He isn’t using them so exercise is factored in. Topic: Diet and Nutrition / Nutrition Settings |

Not sure if any of you are runners, but my trainer plans to do more focused split weight routines starting next week and we are trying to determine which day is best to do my long runs. Any suggestions… I was thinking of doing it on the opposing days as my legs workouts, but I am not so sure anymore – had a great leg workout yesterday after a decent run. Also, running the next day with sore/stiff leg muscles takes a while to properly warm up and feel like you are going at a decent pace – at least for me anyway :-) Topic: Fitness and Exercise / BodyBuilders Wanted! |

I just got my Garmin FR60 which tracks my workouts including calories burned. Does DB have a syncing method that can pull my data from my Garmin account? Topic: Fitness and Exercise / Can you import Garmin Connect data? |

I think the BMR setting is independent of your workouts. So only consider how active you are outside of the gym or anything else you log in the workout section. Otherwise you’d be counting calories twice and projecting more weight loss than you’d be really getting. It’s taken me a while to find the right BMR setting. I think it’s best to start conservative and then observe how your actual body weight compares to the projected weight change from DB. I started out with Sedentary and ended up losing weight faster than DB projected, so I’ve been increasing my BMR to where the two are somewhat close. Topic: Diet and Nutrition / Nutrition Settings |

@mantin19 How intense are your cardio workouts? If they’re a full 60 minutes with no BS’ing around than I would use the very active. If on the other hand they are 30 minutes or less and not so intense I would use a lower activity level. Topic: Diet and Nutrition / Nutrition Settings |

Day 7 and down another 2.5 lbs. That is 8 lbs for the week, 6 on the VLCD. I really didn’t expect to lose today because I cheated. My roomie is a fine dining chef and she made some creamed soup of pureed carrots and green chilis. I know it sounds wierd but was delicious. I couldn’t resist and had 1/2 cup. I wasn’t hungry, I just wanted to try it. Difference between now and before is that then I would have had 3 or 4 whole bowls. I broke my pre HCG weight plateau today. Very happy. I am doing the 40 day program instead of the 23 day so today is my day to skip a dose. Topic: Diet and Nutrition / HCG diet |
