I just started using Daily Burn after being signed up for a couple months. I was wondering if Ignite is really worth it. I have trouble following a meal plan because I tend to eat what I'm hungry for... although some days I'm not hungry and only eat because it's vital to do so.
Just wondering if it's possible to have 2 or more programs on your personal program list at a time... like core workout and a strength workout.
Personally I say that's fine. If you feel a craving for sugar daily, honey is better option then processed sugar or sweetners. Honey is definitely the healthier option. It's about personal choices when going on your journey for a healthier life. Your going to get the pros and cons; good and bad; pure and evil; reasons of why should or shouldn't do something or eat something.
Like you I need to sweeten my coffee. I've cut back to a 12 oz cup at the gas station. I do half cappachino and have decaf coffee. I do 16 oz on the weekends as a treat. Besides your only doing about a teaspoon... not like your using 2 tablespoons of white sugar.
Pure fruit juices. There's only one shake/smoothie I drink when I do drink them... cup of grape juice, cup of frozen strawberries, 1 whole banana.... Maybe a scoop of some protein shake powder.
I suggest finding something you feel you'll have a passion to continue with. A few years ago my hubby was 320 lbs at 5' 11". He started working out because he was diagnosed with sleep apena. He started off with weight lifting and light running. Over a year ago, he switched to just cardio... running, incline jogging/walking, Insanity, stair climber, Jacob's ladder. He went from about 290 to about 230 in 6-7 months.... but most of that happened when he started doing 2-a-day workouts.
Basically he started with weight lifting because it was something he enjoyed doing, but switched to more cardio, less lifting to tone down. He's now trying to do an equal amount of both... but he started a new job and has to figure out a new schedule plan.
So, select something here on Daily Burn that looks interesting, but maybe low impact or goes a bit slow at first. Remember, you can always combine these programs with a daily walk or jog, too!
Yes, you can switch between them from day to day, in fact from all I've read about working out, that's one of the best ways to do it. I don't know if Daily Burn will set it up for you though if you select multiple programs.
I just signed up today, but that is a good question. I only selected one program to try this out. I wonder if you do multiple if it sets it up for you. Otherwise, my suggestion is that you alternate it yourself... select 2 different programs (cardio & strength) and just swap between them each day.
If your up to it and have the time, you could always do 2-a-days... strength in first part of the day, cardio second half of the day or vice versa. My hubby does 2-a-days because he needs that extra workout daily to burn the calories.
I would, but lightly. I do because I need that "energy" to keep me going. I would experiment though. There are some foods I can't really eat before a workout because they make feel nauseous, like apples, but I'm fine if I have a bagel or toast.
You don't want to eat a lot before hand because you might feel "heavy" or even get the "crash" tired from eating too much. It wouldn't hurt to take along say a fiber bar or a healthy snack to munch if your doing long period workouts or to have after a workout.
Which is suppose to be another workout dealie... have something with protein in it after a workout to help the muscles rebuild.
I am also interested in an Android app. It's silly the app is only avaiable to iPhone users.
Never mind, I figured it out.
I upgraded to Ignite, but after looking at it, I feel I do not want it. How do I cancel it or downgrade to just the Daily Burn workouts?
I am, also, proud of myself for sticking out for a week. This is the first time in over 10 years I've done any commitment serious workouts. I WILL... not if... WILL... continue make this habit.
I plan to start walk/run/jog/hike at least 3 days a week starting Monday along with my daily True Beginner Workout.
Today will be Day 7 of True Beginner for me. There are quite a few of us. If you go into the comments on the workout page, you'll see some of us talking on there.
Off to worky derky I go... 10 hour shift. I woke up early, worked out a couple hours ago. I hope I don't get too tried before the end of the shift.
