    my2men2007 answered the Question: Help! I think I've plateau'd!

Could it be possible that you are eating foods that are high in sodium? High-sodium foods are notorious for causing bloating and packing on a couple of pounds of "water weight". Try aiming for drinking as much water as you can throughout the day to flush some of the toxins out of your body. Also, try not to weight yourself during TTOM, because you could easily be holding on to 5 lbs. that aren't "real" lbs. As a rule, I only weigh myself once a month--14 days after the last day of my previous cycle. This helps me keep see consistency. I do, however, measure myself approx. every 10 days, just to track my progress. On a final note, keep in mind that some people don't see scale changes until after 4-6 weeks, once your body has adjusted to a new routine. The other posters have some great responses....just hang in there! You can do this!!!

    Hi, scamp!
You are very wise! I wish I had slowed things down a bit a the beginning, but it's all water under the bridge, now. Good luck on your fitness goals!

Hello, LadyBerlynn....Let me start by saying I'm not a medical professional. However, your abdominal situation doesn't sound normal. Soreness is common, but swelling and trouble using the bathroom sounds pretty serious. You may want to call your doctor, just in case.

my2men2007 answered the Question: LOTS of soreness with Inferno???

    UPDATE!
Hello, Dailyburners.... I am feeling much better than I did 17 days ago! I decided to go back to the Intelliburn exercises on most days, and incorporate my favorite Inferno workouts a couple of days a week. (I am working out 6 days a week). I am still sore sometimes, but I feel encouraged about the progress I'm making. The fact that I am motivated to "get moving" nearly every day is progress, in itself. Thanks for all the support!

    my2men2007 answered the Question: Frustrated!

Hello! Don't give up!!! Have you seen your primary care physician lately? Could it be possible that your thyroid, hormone levels, etc. are out of sync? By the way, there have been several studies to show that the body can take several weeks to adjust to new food/exercise routines. Hang in there. Keep pressing forward!

Anja...is that you?! Thanks for responding! I think the foam roll idea is great. I'm open-minded and I will give it a try. Your workouts are amazing, and I am going to get my body Inferno-ready. I love how you say, "C'mown" in the middle of reps. LOL!

Thanks, bart...! Although I consider myself to be fairly knowledgeable about health/physiology and such, I don't have much background on BCAAs. I'm going to do some research. I guess I should add that I drink approximately 60 ounces of water per day and I almost NEVER drink anything other than water. I do eat about 80% whole/clean, so I could stand a slight improvement in that area. Thanks again for the info! Good luck to you!

Longhorn, your response is interesting....I was initially doing Intelleburn. I completed a few workouts and decided to stop doing that program to try Inferno. I thought I was ready for something much more advanced....EPIC FAIL! LOL! I love Anja, but I'm not sure that I am ready for Inferno. Oddly enough, I did Insanity last summer and did not have nearly the level of soreness that I'm experiencing with Inferno. I must add, however, that I did the Yoga Recovery today that is built into the Inferno program. I feel a bit better. I'm hoping tomorrow will be even better. Good luck to you!

Good suggestion, mythical...I may try adjusting my workouts. I don't want the soreness to discourage me from achieving my goals.

my2men2007 asked the Question: LOTS of soreness with Inferno???

I started Inferno a couple of days ago. I am VERY sore! I am still going to work out, and I will continue to watch my form. I also do a significant warm-up and cool-down. I expected the program to be intense, but this soreness is driving me nuts! I can hardly walk for about an hour after waking up. Any suggestions??

Hello! I don't know how much protein you would like your bars to have, but my family makes homemade granola bars. We mix 100% whole oats, raw almonds, coconut oil, sunflower seeds, chopped apples, flax seeds and a bit of water in a glass bowl. Then, we place it on parchment paper (on top of a cookie sheet) in one 1/4 inch "slab". It cooks for about 30 min. on 325 degrees. Once it cools, we cut it into "bars". It's delicious, whole, good protein and minimal prep. -- I'm sure this recipe would work well with protein powder mixed in.

    Hello, Mythical...
Thanks for all the body info. It really helps me to get visual of other women the same height. Do you have any particular weight loss/health goals, or are you more interested in "maintenance"? Also what Dailyburn program(s) do you enjoy most?

"Me Time" is soooo needed around here! I work full-time, just completed a Master's degree program, I'm married and I have 2 school-aged boys. I may start enjoying some yoga in peace and quiet once the munchkins are in bed.
