This is kind of weird, but I like 1 scoop of DailyBurn Fuel, 1 raw egg yolk (from farm fresh eggs), 1 handful of spinach, frozen berries, almond milk, and 2 tbsp of almond butter. I really like the taste, and it's really nutritious. I totally eat the raw egg at my own risk, so most people might not want to do that.
One of my favorite gatorade alternatives tastes great and travels well. Basically, you buy a tube of flavored electrolyte tablets from a running or endurance sports store, and add one to your water bottle right before your workout. Make sure to avoid the "sugar-free" tablets, which contain artificial sweeteners.
I struggle after my workouts. I can eat three meals in the few hours after my workouts if I let myself continually snack after my noon workout. Now, I schedule my workout right before lunch, and I eat a huge salad with protein so that the fiber/protein combo fills me up.
I suggest signing up for an athletic event 3 - 6 months away like a 5k run, a mud obstacle course, or a cycling event. Just knowing that you have something to train for beyond just "working out" will give you a clear goal. Better yet, form a team of coworkers, neighbors, or motivate your family to join.
The DailyBurn team trained for a Tough Mudder event together last year, and it was a fun day. It gave us all a reason to work on our strength and conditioning for months in advance.
Neither work for Ignite because greek yogurt contains dairy and ezekiel bread contains gluten.
Dairy and gluten both need to be eliminated from your diet during Ignite.
Certified gluten-free oats are absolutely ok.
Your weight can fluctuate as much as 5 lbs per day depending upon normal bodily functions like food intake, water retention, sodium intake, bowel movement frequency, and even the time of day that you hopped on the scale. I suggest laying off the scale until the end of Ignite. A better measure of progress is waist circumference and other health indicators like energy levels and sleep quality.
Yes, as long as you feel like you have enough energy, you can do DB 15 and your 3 day routine at the same time. You'll probably see results faster! 15 minutes is a great supplemental workout, and yes, I agree about the morning energy pick-me-up that you get from DB15!
Hi, great question.
Pumpkin seeds and sunflower seeds, as well as pumpkin seed butter and sunflower seed butter are great nut substitutes.
Eggs are a great morning option.
Great question. The two apps are completely separate, so the workout from DailyBurn cannot be logged into DailyBurn Tracker unless you enter them in manually.
It's great that you are trying to change your hydration habits! (I almost wrote 'drinking habits', but that means something else entirely!).
Try adding coconut creamer or vanilla almond milk to your coffee. Almond mik has a milder flavor.
Also, if you want to have flavor in your water, try keeping a pitcher in your refrigerator of water infused with cucumber, orange, lemon, or lime slices. It helps add a zing to your water without adding artificial flavors.
Hey Juju - our entire community is here to help you. You are not alone :).
The meal plan is super easy. You can eat anything that does not contain dairy, over 5g of added sugar, alcohol, artificial sweeteners, soy, and gluten. Ignite is designed for flexibility. If you stick to meals that are primarily meat and veggies with some non-gluten containing starches like potatoes or rice, you can't go wrong. I fill up on meat, veggies, eggs, nuts, gluten-free pasta, and low sugar fruit. I don't really plan meals - I just buy foods that fit into these categories.
You can omit avocados in many recipes and be just fine. There isn't really a good substitute for this unique fruit.
Cardio Sculpt is pretty awesome. I love Judi's workouts. I've lost some weight since starting DailyBurn workouts, but I tend to jump around from program to program.
