overly critical or something! But I'm totally not. It's enough to even make my friends and family notice. And I'm hungry all the time now!! I can't seem to stay away from gains either :/
Well, the scale says I gained four pounds which I totally insignificant. I don't really weight myself often enough to know, or care, unless it's a large amount of weight gain like ten-fifteen plus. My weight definitely doesn't yoyo like that though. It's usually only a few pounds, or occasionally six or seven after eating a lot in one day. Regardless, the weight I'm referring too is visual. My body is literally a different body than six months ago. I'm gaining all kinds of fatty, cellulite type of fat on my sides, and on my hips and inner/back of the thighs like a middle aged women going through menopause! There hasn't been one doctor who has taken my weight into account. I've struggled with losing weight for almost ten years now! It's like they think I'm
I'd like to know how much I burned. It said 273 calories but is that correct? I did five rounds, weigh 135 lbs, and used metal dumbbells that are about 9-10 lbs. I only stopped a few times to catch my breath but never truly stopped to get water or just stand there. I'm trying to watch my calories and lose fat so it would be great if someone could help me estimate it! Thanks!
Thank you! That sounds good but also heavy. Wouldn't that be fattening to do all the time if I'm not working out aggressively everyday? I only do Infero type workouts (burning 500 cal or more plus weights, hiking a few hours, jogging, etc.) once, maybe twice a week. The rest of the days I'm doing lower caliber exercise, yoga, walking around the city, lunges and jumping jacks etc. a couple times a day. Sometimes the yoga is over an hour, sometimes it is fifteen minute cardio yoga. Having said that, I don't exercise at an athlete level every day or go to the gym. I don't want to eat too much and gain weight! What about calorie confusion? 1200 mon, 2000 tue, 1200 wed etc?
I LOVE water. I probably drink ten "trenta" sized cups of water a day. I'm pretty sure it's the quality of food and nutrients that are leaving me hungry/full. I'll have to switch it up and see if smoothies every other day work better. :)
Thank you! I love chai seeds and they definitely make me feel full longer. Although, at this point, smoothies are only something I do about four times a week. My body may be adapting too well to them because I feel lethargic afterwards. I just ate a big breakfast of eggs, veggies, and homemade, gluten free pancakes with fruit and I had so much energy afterwards that I just did Inferno Power! :)
As for the acid, the prescription medication did not work so I think it has to do with my body and my food allergies. Thank you for you help!
I've been soy, gluten, alcohol, added sugar, artificial sweetener AND dairy free (mostly, aside from occasional romano parmesean and cultured yogurt) for months now. It was working great and I was losing weight really steadily and effectively. But I have Candida issues with my intestines so I decided to do the Paleo diet in order to give my intestines a break from trying to digest sugary carbs like rice and potatoes. I don't eat more than 1300-1500 cal a day and I definitely do not over eat when it comes to nuts. I've been using a lot of coconut products, esp the flour, but never more than twice a day in moderation. Can being grain free cause weight gain? Or too much coconut? I want to make sure I'm not doing something bad that I think is good!
I was working out really hard as if I were an athlete with something to prepare for. Of course, for the average person that isn't practical as well as time consuming. But I lost a ton of weight! I was getting so lean! I could even wear a pair of shorts that haven't fit me since JUNIOR HIGH. Granted, I'm not super over weight. I was just about twenty pounds over weight and I probably have seven more to go until I reach my goal. But I've had problems with my weight since the beginning of high school so you can imagine how good it felt to finally be at where I've been working toward for seven years. Anyway, I suddenly gained some of it back when I lessened my exercise because I caught a virus and it pretty much threw everything off. lol.
I look more out of shape. I'm hanging over my jeans, getting little "saddle bags" and inner thigh fat for no reason! I just look puffy and bulgy. I'm just wondering if I spazzed my body out. I was also taking Vega which had Maca in it. Is it possible that I threw off my hormones with the spike in cortisol and the herbs in Vega?? I am grain free (paleo), soy free, gluten free, almost completely dairy free; I never drink alcohol, eat only natural sugar in moderation- I don't even eat stevia! What in the world is going on?
Yea, I am. It's definitely fat though. I look more out of shape and less lean then I did before! But what's weirder is that that the scale still says 138. Yet all my jeans are tighter, my sides are hanging over my pants, and I physically look bigger!
I have tried coconut products but lately anything that is too rich or high in fat has been making my intestines and right side hurt. I'm going to get my gallbladder and pancreas tested soon. So for now, I'm laying off of most coconut based products and only having coconut water. What about milk alternatives? I've heard a lot of controversy over the additives in almond milk as well. My intestines are extremely sensitive right now so I don't want to over do it although its hard not too when you're already gluten, dairy, soy, sugar, and coconut free! Eek!
Because I can't eat dairy or gluten due to food allergies, I find myself eating a lot of almonds, almond butter, almond meal, and almond milk. Is that bad on a daily basis? I know it's good to vary one's habits but it's hard to find another nut that packs such a punch! Lower in calories and fat, higher in nutritional value etc. Any suggestions or alternatives?
I started DB doing the Move! series. Granted, I am a dancer so it was really fun and a good workout on days that I didn't have dance. But I stopped dancing weekly about five-six months ago so I decided that I'd try Cardio Sculpt and it eventually led to Inferno. Soon, I wasn't doing Move! at all and I was just doing Inferno with the occasional yoga. Weirdly enough, I began gaining my weight back. Is it possible that Move! just works better with my body type? I'm a mesomorph so you'd think any exercise would do! I have a lot of fun doing Inferno as well but as far as my goals I don't want to stick with something that won't be as effective as another. Thanks for any input! :)
I have gained back half of what I lost during the ignite phase. Granted, I was exercising probably three times a day- one serious, wet covered workout, a thirty minute walk, and then a burst of high intensity in the evening. I was also taking a meal replacement powder called Vega at the time and using it in my smoothies. Also, at the peak of my thinnest time, my thyroid numbers suddenly plummeted. So did my platelets and white blood cell count. I'm thinking the Maca in the Vega messed me up? And of course, I'm also exercising less. No one had time (or energy OR mental strength) to exercise as much as I was. Regardless, I now can't get my weight under control and I am very worried about it. Any suggestions? I'm still 100% gluten, alcohol, artificial sweetener, and soy free with the occasional Parmesan or cane sugar already added to cereal.
I don't even eat fruit anymore because it messed up my stomach! Help!
