That's totally why I do it, I just entered a Biology PhD program so it's nice to just take a break!
Also, if you don't want to work out with someone else, yoga is also good for "me time".
Honestly, loosing the weight wasn't really by choice, it was a combination of stress/health factors. But since I've lost the weight I feel much better. However, I am not afraid to admit that I am indeed lazy at the core. When I lost the weight I realized I was not in shape at all, I lost my breath easily, my back and such was sore all the time etc etc. I found the best way to get myself motivated was to workout with someone else. It's like having someone to hold yourself accountable to regardless of whether you state it to them or not. I really enjoyed doing Yoga because (depending on what you do) it's a low impact way to regain flexibility, strength, and especially important for me, the ability to breath. I have branched out a bit since to things like pilates and such. It's really about finding what you enjoy doing. If you don't like it you're obviously not going to want to stay with it. Also, I have not/am not doing the ignite diet because I've always had a pretty balanced healthy diet and when I eat wrong I totally feel it. (But trust me, I still splurge ;] ) Anyways, idk how helpful any of that will be to you but I hope you can get something out of it.
I am currently about 120-125. I was above 150 at one point. I'm 1/4 native american with a few features that are obvious but other than that, white.
When I weighed a bit more I had the same deal with proportions, fairly evenly distributed with big thighs and legs. I didn't look too big because of the evenness of everything though. I still have big thighs and legs even though I'm much smaller. I'm beginning to believe that it's just going to stay a part of me, which is fine. I also did not want to invest in ignite and trying the same thing as you.
I'm 5'1 and I actually lost a significant amount of weight in a short amount of time (30 lbs in about a month and a half, not on purpose) a couple of years ago and people thought it looked like I was wasting away. I'm actually down to a weight that I consider healthy AND attractive for my stature so now my goal is to get in shape and just trim up but I'm totally down for supporting others!
