I've been looking for a good system to get healthy and this was the perfect solution. Just completed my ignite phase and I loved it. I feel much better, my skin tone and completion have improved considerably in such a short amount of time.
I totally agree, if you're craving baked goods, go for the wheat free, gluten free kinds. I found a brownie mix to make at home. I just have to watch out for the added sugar.
I use Nutribullet but it gets annoying when you have too much frozen fruit. Otherwise it's perfect.
I love Cody's TBT, did it twice already. It's perfect to get ready for snowboarding. I also really like Yoga with Briohny. She's got the best yoga workouts I've tried. I'm building up to Inferno. Looking to try that next.
I have these too. They are awesome.
Cocoa powder is okay. They even have recipes with cocoa powder shakes here. The almond butter is okay as well but watch out how much you eat during the day as it's high in calories.
Thanks juju. I'm looking into the book called 4 hour body by Tim Ferris. He mentions the cold showers as part of his fitness routine. "Cold temperature activates brown fat, the fat-burning fat tissue in your body that burns energy to keep you warm."
I am not sure how effective this is but any little bit helps. I'm going to try it for sure.
I read that taking cold showers makes your body burn the fat. Has anyone had any experience with this practice?
Since I've started the Ignite program, I have learned that there are so many misconceptions about what we eat that it's no wonder why so many people have health issues. Milk is a good choice back in the day when there were no other options. When food is scarce the fat is really beneficial. However now there are much healthier ways to get calcium into your body. Kale for example. Other than calcium is there really anything else that's good in the milk?
Statistically, people who give up dairy lose weight. Hm... I wonder why.
I use 1 scoop of raw sunwarrier protein powder; 1 cup of either coconut or almond milk; handful of raw almonds or 1 spoon of raw almond butter; multi vitamins; aloe (for my eczema); flaxseed oil.
I use sunwarrior protein because it's much cheaper. However it's missing the probiotics and multi vitamins (plus other stuff hehe). I haven't been able to figure out how to get the probiotics into that so looking forward to trying out the DB Fuel.
I feel like I'm much more educated about making healthy food choices. It's much easier to shop and cook healthy as well. I mostly stick to Trader Joe's. During Ignite you have to read all the labels and be very conscious what you put in your mouth which is a big change for most people. Been on balance for two weeks now and I like the flexibility to enjoy the evil 6 on weekends with friends and family. I do agree that DailyBurn should step up their guidance past the ignite phase so you can achieve the results that you want.
Are you making sure that you don't eat too little or too much? I've lost 10 pounds my first two weeks but then my results plateaued and past two weeks haven't lost anything. I did Ignite and TBT at the same time.
