TamaraDailyBurn answered the Question: Why am I not losing weight?

How frustrating! I'm sorry to hear about your issues with your weight loss goals, especially after having completed some of our workouts. This may or may not be the case for you, but you may be gaining muscle weight (which replaces fat - a swap of sorts), which can give you strength in ways that will help you lose additional fat, but I totally hear you on the frustrations when it comes to not seeing any difference on the scale. If your diet is healthy, staying hydrated and getting enough sleep, then we recommend checking with a health professional to see if there anything else you can modify in your day-to-day life outside exercising.

While you are getting 'Cardio Sculpt' workouts as your daily workouts lately, things might change! Intelliburn is our only program that does not have a preset schedule. It uses an algorithm to choose the following day's workout for you. It uses your gender, age, and your progress during the current day's workout to decide the following day's workout. If you're finding that you're receiving the same workout from day to day, just make sure you're waiting 24-27 hours between workouts, and letting the workouts end naturally.

With the green light from your doctor to use an exercise program, you can try our 'Recover' program as well as go into the Discover page and check out our singular workouts by level of difficulty and time by logging in and going here: http://dailyburn.com/workout_... . In your case, I recommend selecting 'Easy', and '0-20' minutes workouts.

We're looking at adding two new muscle building programs in the coming months in addition to four new videos to the 'True Beginner' program, by the end of the year. I can't spill the beans just yet on release dates for these programs, but I welcome you to check back in with us at a later date for updates.

You can certainly maintain a vegetarian/vegan diet with Ignite. Ignite focuses on eliminating the evil 6 from your diet, which are alcohol, dairy, soy, artificial sweeteners, added sugar, and gluten. As you can see, this leaves many foods you can continue to eat and as long as you stick with those guidelines, you are eating 'Ignite friendly'.

TamaraDailyBurn answered the Question: What about the soy in my gum?

While it's a small amount ingested, we recommend trying a different brand of gum that does not contain soy while you're on Ignite.

The estimated calories for exercise are rough estimates. It takes into account your gender, age (if given), and then uses an algorithm that was derived based on the statistics of average men and women using a 'medium' intensity.

If you're currently on the 21 day Ignite phase, then you will need to find an alternative vitamin that does not contain soy or fermented wheat.

TamaraDailyBurn answered the Question: Preparing to Ignite

So glad you're about to start! There aren't any specific goals in terms of macro nutrients. As an example, here’s what a typical eating schedule looks like during your 21-day Ignite cycle.

breakfast (within 1 hour of waking): DailyBurn fuel Shake
Lunch: huge Salad with lots of greens veggies, chicken breast, olive oil
snack: Small handful of almonds and 1 small apple
Dinner (2-3 hours before bed): Salmon, broccoli, quinoa

Notice how there are no measurements next to the food. Remember, this isn’t calorie counting. Don’t over eat - just eat slow and eat until you feel satisfied. Your body knows what it’s doing, especially when you get rid of the “Evil 6”.
