If you bought totally gluten free oats (not Quaker oats) that would be okay though, right?

How does creamer in coffee work in balance? -1 for every cup? Or -1 for every amount of creamer that = a serving? I've been doing the coconut milk in coffee and it's not nearly as good. :( Can't wait.

The other day I got two Chipotle tacos on corn tortillas with the barbacoa filling, guac, salsa, and lettuce. I meticulously checked and there was no soy, sugar, gluten, etc. It was a pretty high calorie lunch for how small it was, but it felt so good to eat something "normal."

aremoose asked the Question: Losing weight on Balance?

I'm mid-Ignite and really looking forward to the Balance phase. I am trying to lose around 50 pounds though, so am wondering: how much weight are people losing on Balance? Should I be sticking to Ignite for another cycle or two, or can I continue to lose on Balance?

I'm also a cream/bit of sugar girl, but have just been going hardcore black. It's forcing me to drink less coffee because I can't guzzle it like a pumpkin spice latte/etc, but now that I'm more used to it it has the same enjoyment as cream/sugar.

I love Woodchuck, but isn't it 2 anyway with sugar + alcohol?

Likewise with wine (this works in Ignite too, if you portion carefully), I sometimes have a bit of 100% Pom juice. It has no added sugar, and it's rich enough that it usually kicks my craving for red wine. Obviously use sparingly, and only in 1/4C - 1/2C portions at a time. That's how I'm surviving the holidays on Ignite!

aremoose asked the Question: Wine = __ Balance?

How much balance would a glass of wine take? 1 for alcohol? Or 2 for alcohol + sugar?

As far as I can tell, since it has no added sugar it would be one. I know wine has more sugar than, say, vodka--but if it's a dry red variety (not dessert wine), would that count as sugar?

Eagerly awaiting my glass of Malbec in 15 days...

aremoose asked the Question: Emotional Eating Tips?

As I've been starting Ignite (Day 5), I'm feeling pretty good and definitely feel like the end is attainable. Yay for Igniting through Thanksgiving!
The times when I struggle most are when I get really stressed from work, or am dealing with emotional family issues. I definitely emotionally eat, and it's been an uphill battle. Any tips on dealing with this?

aremoose answered the Question: Can you do the ignite program without the shakes?

The shakes really seem to be a marketing ploy for DB to make more money. I can't afford them either and have been eating things like (natural) almond butter with apples, eggs on veggies, etc. I'm sure they're delicious but I don't see why they're so "crucial."
