Just wondering if I should add flaxseed to my shakes, to get those Omega 3s.
I missed 2 days during Inferno, but I just picked up where I left off. So I just have to remember each day to do the workout from 2 days ago. (So tempting to do Recovery Yoga when MetCon 2 is really what I should be doing *sigh*). Start your first day back with something E A S Y, then if that feels too easy, you're ready to jump back in. If it felt hard, then stick with easy workouts till your energy level is back to normal.
Maybe you want to ease into it. Do mini-shakes at night, to get adjusted, but try to stick with ignite during the day, with a modified normal breakfast. I had this problem too, but it turned out it was PMS combined with transition. It got better after the first week.
It's really discouraging. Any suggestions?
I didn't lose a single pound on ignite. I did inferno at the same time, so definitely am seeing some changes, but am really disappointed in ignite. I was ravenous all the time, my cravings never went away, just got worse. I don't really know what to do about losing weight. I feel like I've tried everything and none of it works.
Can also just keep fresh berries in the fridge and use ice from the ice machine.
Supposedly you can make the shakes by just physically shaking the stuff in a sports bottle. I would get a wand blender, if you have a freezer in your hotel and access to a grocery store, you can keep frozen berries in the room. It would certainly be safer than trying to avoid all the carbs at the typical hotel buffet! http://www.amazon.com/Cuisina... I have one of these I use for making soups - they're great. Good luck getting it through airport security, though (maybe a good reason to check the suitcase.)

You can buy Vega pouches at almost any health food store, which are similar, but DB fuel definitely tastes better (I am not DB employee, just an Ignite-er, halfway through.) The shakes really make it possible for me to stick to it. I have an epic sweet tooth, and when I'm really desperate, I'll make a mini-shake to get me through the danger zone.
I have the same issue. Especially beginning right after the holidays, so many leftover treats. The designated cabinet is a good one, I also recommend buying them ONLY the snacks that you don't like. i.e. - I hate BBQ chips, so I can keep those around for when my skinny family needs a salty treat. I also am averse to milk chocolate and angry bird fruit chews, so those will not be eliminated from the cabinet.
