Why is stevia okay? I thought all added fake sugars were bad.
I made it 2 weeks and was doing SO well and SO happy with how I was feeling. Then I got a stomach bug from my kids and really just NEEDED crackers. It was terrible. And it's been terrible. Because I started originally on the second I could easily say "it's been so many day." Now I'm back to regular cravings and have had to hit it a couple times. And I'd be done today!!! I'm going to make it this time. Anyone reignite successfully?
I second raisins. I also started carrying oranges after they gave them out in the middle of my marathon. It was a great boost, and since I already have a Camelbak backpack it was easy to add to my gear.
I thought we only counted added sugar.
I have a Garmin GPS with a HRM and love it. I've had a Polar, a few years ago so it may have improved, and would often have problems when I was in races/at the gym with it finding the right signal. I have not had that problem with the Garmin. It was also possible to have it find the HRM and then enter the crowd, so it was workable.
Me too. I'm liking it, just annoyed that it's "cheating" once a day.
I wish you were my upstairs neighbor. I think that during most of the day no one would care and it's legal (check the noise ordinance in your town), but the best thing my upstairs neighbor could do is just ask me what time of day/night it wouldn't bug me. My upstairs neighbor does Wii and it shakes my apartment. Things fall off the wall. It's annoying, but if it didn't happen at the only time I have to myself or bedtime I wouldn't care. And if they had asked I would feel like I had some control of the situation, which can go a great distance in neighborly relations.
...free meaning safe for Ignite.
Lara bars. You need to look, but most are free. I LOVE the coconut cream and the peanut butter & jelly flavors.
Yay! I've actually started telling other people about it. I felt a little silly earlier in the week, but I've been so surprised by the change. I really have had such a problem with self-control, but I'm beginning to wonder if it might really have been an issue with one of the evil 6.
But the whole point of Ignite is to avoid 6 ingredients for 21 days.
I know you're doing Ignite, so you've probably already dropped milk, but as a flavored latte drinker a few years ago I slowly weaned myself off all milk and sugar in my coffee and have never looked back. It only took about a week, if you were willing to do that before starting Ignite. Black coffee is supposed to help your metabolism, too... Just my two cents, but you really do get a lot more from the flavor of coffee when you don't add anything to it, so it's only a problem when I visit somewhere and have to drink swill.
I lost my baby weight in the hospital for my first kid (though I really could have used to lose more) and then an extra 5 in the first month of breastfeeding. With the second I left the hospital weighing more than when I went in and have had a TERRIBLE time taking all that weight off, and I weighed less when I got pregnant with her than I had since leaving high school. Every situation/every person is different, though I'm sure you hear that as often as I do. :) Good luck!
I need to say that after a week I've found a SERIOUS drop in cravings. There is chocolate in my house leftover from Christmas. Normally I would tell myself I could have a piece and then eat the whole bag in an hour. I haven't had a single piece. And ... there is CHOCOLATE left in my house from CHRISTMAS. It's pretty crazy to me. I am getting HUNGRY instead of WANTING food. I really don't think I could express my amazement to anyone. It's as if food has lost some of it's power over me.
For a week I've done a great job keeping sugar out of my diet, only to finally get the protein powders and find there's cane juice in it.
