I went to a nutritionist, for about a year, and then joined wright watchers, and started getting into cycling. Each person needs to find what they are motivated by, and go from there.

cyclesue answered the Question: How do people like DailyBurn Balance?

Its fine, but there's whole categories of food that are not mentioned on how to track... Ex: I had jambalaya with sausage in it... I was not going to just pick out the sausage and not eat it (it was at a friend's house and I'm not going to be insulting). Same goes for any fruit or vegetable not on the ignite list. I'd really like to see the team that is expanding this program to widen the information for Balance.

cyclesue answered the Question: How did you feel after the first week?

agreed. At some point in week 2 I had to take stevia and mix it with 2 Tbs almond butter and unsweetened coconut flakes and chowed down. I needed that cookie/sugar craving gone. I've also probably eaten more dates and unsweetened dried figs than I should, but I lost 7 lbs in 3 weeks (which is great for me) and just finished the ignite. its true by the end I felt so much better and the craving have really subsided. hang in there, and do what you need to get through it.

It looks like my first response didn't get recorded. *sigh*.
    Try the PDF version: http://dailyburn.com/articles...
Its much more explanatory. Why they hide the specific details in a PDF instead of having a page on it, and also a PDF format is puzzling. Then look at the recipes and possibly get a plan of what you'd like to eat. good luck!

cyclesue answered the Question: Are there any alternatives to the Fuel Shake

Peaceful Planet also makes a tasty protein shake that's in the plan.

That's tough. My thoughts (take them or leave them!): put separate portions of dry protein powder into sealed baggies. maybe you can find a chocolate or vanilla you like so you don't have to have a blender. Pack a seal-able container (coffee mug or plastic non-leak drink mug). Scout out ahead of time where you can get almond milk, or just use water.
Shake the heck out of the shake in the AM in your mug for mixing.
If you have a local co-op grocery tore you may be able to grab pre-packaged non-gluten food. I know this isn't the way ignite wants us to eat, but if you need a snack and have no other options it may end up saving you from going off plan. There's always eating steak and veggies, or thai food without cream. good luck!

I don't always have time to grab my phone at work and take a pic, but I'd like to record my lunch or snack. Is there a way to just write it down?

cyclesue answered the Question: Who has lost weight with Ignite?

I've lost 4 lbs so far in week one. Pretty good start! Just cutting out all the white bread carbs and sugar has made a huge difference.
