As I am suffering from knee pain as well, I wonder if using yoga poses such as chair pose and warrior pose would offer the same muscle toning benefits without the aggravation of constant up/down motions.
Thanks for the advice :)
I was dork enough to cancel and then changed my mind by the evening so now my program has reset to week 1 ;/
That's okay...I am giving my sore knee lots of tlc so if I skip a week and just do gentle stretching and light arm work I guess I can deal with doing week 2 and 3 over again. Will definitely use your trick about only backward lunges :)
Hope you are feeling well and strong today ~*~
Near the end of week 3 with cardio sculpt and I am now limping from arthritis (A.S.) flaring up in my joints, especially my knees and back. I considered quitting DB because so many of the different workouts put too much stress on me with the jumps or sudden movements but came back because I really do like cardio sculpt. My question is: if I switch my profile down to "beginner" will this alter the workouts for the program? If so, will I still be able to make positive body changes (tone/lose weight) at an easier level? Or, because of my condition, should I bow out now and make peace with my plumpness?
Curious to know how TBT is going for you...are you noticing results in your body shape? I was hoping to go into Move after Cardio Sculpt but I can't keep up with the instructor and become discouraged trying the 15 minute workouts :/
The DB shakes are a bit too expensive for me but I will check the local produce section for split peas; thanks for the help :)
Have not even thought of vegan shakes...I will have to check them out. Quinoa! Totally forgot about this being a protein...thanks for the reminder :)
well that sucks! :(
I just had my annual physical and told my doctor I have been having serious issues with exhaustion for the past few years. She asked me a few questions and then told me I was not eating enough protein each day. My problem is I despise: all seafood, eggs, animal organs (gross!), tofu, and whey shakes mess with my IBS making me very bloated and in pain. I need to lose weight so I do not want to over do my peanut butter and I do get very tired of chicken by the end of the week. Are there any healthy high protein foods anyone could recommend for my pre/post workout snacks that would not defeat the purpose of working out to shred fat?
After 2 weeks I have gained and then lost a pound. Depressing until I realized my freshly washed jeans were fitting nice and comfortable, not like a tourniquet belt! Think I will begin recording some measurements in a little notebook until this site adds some measurement apps. PS: still missing the motivations page! :(
Okay...week two is over and the last BHT workout is still killing my bootie!
I was really, really bummed that I have only lost one pound so far....until I realized my jeans (fresh from the dryer) fit well and not strangling me until they became stretched out. My "batwings" appear smaller and I can see slight definition in my biceps. When I am not focused on what the scale says I feel healthier and tighter. SO, even though I will still weigh myself each week and, yes, let the number freak me out a bit, I will also take into account the fit of my clothes and how I feel over-all. If my body loses fat inches while staying at a higher than desired number on the scales, I will call this a good result and most likely continue my subscription here. Time will tell...2 more weeks of free workouts.
I was beginning to think mine disappeared because I am still on the 30 day trial plan, but it sounds like it is hitting everyone. Hope they bring it back!
well. Week 1 is over and am happy to say I only missed one workout. I have changed over my afternoon fruits for veggies and am trying to make sure I have protein with each meal. The first 4 days my body hurt...HURT! But now I am feeling tighter and a little self confident. Unfortunately, though, the scale insists I gained a pound...not cool! Will continue following week 2's schedule for workouts and watching my intake. If I do not see positive results next Monday on the scale or at least tape measure, I will consider cancelling my account and continue to hate myself in the mirror.
Okay, I will try and be patient with myself ;)
Thanks for sharing and giving me some motivation; enjoy today's workout! :)
Ryan, how long did it take before you began to see weight loss using cardio sculpt? I realize I am only finishing week 1 but not even losing 1 pound has me a bit bummed. Granted, my thighs and glutes are on fire so I am hoping this means something proactive is changing...just wish the scale played nice. :/
Same here...was feeling strong and toned this week until I weighed myself this morning; now I feel like fat crap ;(
