I've read on multiple websites, WebMD, Livestrong, and others that all say a vigorous Kettlebell workout burns 20 calories a minute. Yet, on DBK5 it says I didn't even burn 300 calories. I think it was 270. I was shocked! I felt like I had really shredded that workout and was getting an after buzz like what I get after Inferno, just with less lung exhaustion. What is the TRUE Kettlebell calorie burn? If the other sites are correct, which they said they based off of an actual Kettlebell study, I should have burnt closer to 1,000 calories! That seems a little high but I'd like to know which is closer to the truth and why.

I'd like to know how much I burned. It said 273 calories but is that correct? I did five rounds, weigh 135 lbs, and used metal dumbbells that are about 9-10 lbs. I only stopped a few times to catch my breath but never truly stopped to get water or just stand there. I'm trying to watch my calories and lose fat so it would be great if someone could help me estimate it! Thanks!

I've been doing the ignite diet for about a week now and I'm hungry an hour later after consuming a shake! I also sometimes get heartburn. Is it okay to eat something like a hard boiled egg or meat?

I've been soy, gluten, alcohol, added sugar, artificial sweetener AND dairy free (mostly, aside from occasional romano parmesean and cultured yogurt) for months now. It was working great and I was losing weight really steadily and effectively. But I have Candida issues with my intestines so I decided to do the Paleo diet in order to give my intestines a break from trying to digest sugary carbs like rice and potatoes. I don't eat more than 1300-1500 cal a day and I definitely do not over eat when it comes to nuts. I've been using a lot of coconut products, esp the flour, but never more than twice a day in moderation. Can being grain free cause weight gain? Or too much coconut? I want to make sure I'm not doing something bad that I think is good!

I was working out really hard as if I were an athlete with something to prepare for. Of course, for the average person that isn't practical as well as time consuming. But I lost a ton of weight! I was getting so lean! I could even wear a pair of shorts that haven't fit me since JUNIOR HIGH. Granted, I'm not super over weight. I was just about twenty pounds over weight and I probably have seven more to go until I reach my goal. But I've had problems with my weight since the beginning of high school so you can imagine how good it felt to finally be at where I've been working toward for seven years. Anyway, I suddenly gained some of it back when I lessened my exercise because I caught a virus and it pretty much threw everything off. lol.
I look more out of shape. I'm hanging over my jeans, getting little "saddle bags" and inner thigh fat for no reason! I just look puffy and bulgy. I'm just wondering if I spazzed my body out. I was also taking Vega which had Maca in it. Is it possible that I threw off my hormones with the spike in cortisol and the herbs in Vega?? I am grain free (paleo), soy free, gluten free, almost completely dairy free; I never drink alcohol, eat only natural sugar in moderation- I don't even eat stevia! What in the world is going on?

My legs aren't fat. Actually they're pretty solid but I still have a handful of fat that I can grab in my inner thighs and even the sides of my knees. I've been doing every DB exercise. I'll do kickboxing or MMA in the morning, or HIIT, and yoga in the evening. Sometimes I'll even do one of the others randomly at night. I also feel like the smoothies are starting to not help anymore. I'm hungry, fatigued, and spaced out. I just want to be lean but it seems like I'm bulking up faster than I'm losing fat.

I am making turkey burgers and I just realized that the sauce I usually make (copycat of in 'n out's "special sauce") has added sugar AND soybean oil! Are their any suggestions for replacing ketchup, mayo, aioli, or bbq? Thanks!

overly critical or something! But I'm totally not. It's enough to even make my friends and family notice. And I'm hungry all the time now!! I can't seem to stay away from gains either :/

Well, the scale says I gained four pounds which I totally insignificant. I don't really weight myself often enough to know, or care, unless it's a large amount of weight gain like ten-fifteen plus. My weight definitely doesn't yoyo like that though. It's usually only a few pounds, or occasionally six or seven after eating a lot in one day. Regardless, the weight I'm referring too is visual. My body is literally a different body than six months ago. I'm gaining all kinds of fatty, cellulite type of fat on my sides, and on my hips and inner/back of the thighs like a middle aged women going through menopause! There hasn't been one doctor who has taken my weight into account. I've struggled with losing weight for almost ten years now! It's like they think I'm

Thank you! That sounds good but also heavy. Wouldn't that be fattening to do all the time if I'm not working out aggressively everyday? I only do Infero type workouts (burning 500 cal or more plus weights, hiking a few hours, jogging, etc.) once, maybe twice a week. The rest of the days I'm doing lower caliber exercise, yoga, walking around the city, lunges and jumping jacks etc. a couple times a day. Sometimes the yoga is over an hour, sometimes it is fifteen minute cardio yoga. Having said that, I don't exercise at an athlete level every day or go to the gym. I don't want to eat too much and gain weight! What about calorie confusion? 1200 mon, 2000 tue, 1200 wed etc?
