I read an article about this and the thinking behind it was that taking cold showers increases your metabolism because your body needs to use extra energy to stay warm. However: if I recall correctly, the increase was so minimal it wasn't worth it, unless, of course, you prefer cold showers.
I agree. I bought some Truvia and looked at the ingredients. It has the same chemicals added as Equal or Splenda. The reasoning on the package was that it is so sweet they have to dilute it with chemicals. Sorry that's not good enough. I threw it away.
I looked at the ones I bought and all of the fruit and nuts bars have no added sugar, so yes I'd have to say, stay away from the chocolate. Phew that was a relief, I thought I'd missed something on the label, i would have been really disappointed.
I wish someone from Daily Burn would jump in on these type of questions and not leave us to try and figure out what they were thinking.
I don't know how you would seperate the added suger from the naturally occuring sugar, but so that this isn't an issue I eat Lara Bars. They are all fruit and none of the evil 6, including added sugar.
Thanks that what I ended up doing.
I try not to procrastinate for too long in the mornings, especially on weekends, the longer I put it off the more likely I am to skip it. My goal is 5 workouts a week, I keep a printed calender of my workout schedule and check off the workouts as I do them and I've found recently that I can't find an excuse for not working out that convinces me not to, and believe me I've tried. My greatest motivator, though, is my husband. Once I tell him I have to work out, then I don't want to not do it and look like a quitter. Especially as he is so proud of me for sticking with it and the results are starting to show.
Thai coconut milk is 140 calories per 1/3 cup, ordinary coconut milk is 45 calories per cup, that's a huge difference. It would be good to know which to use, especially as a lot of the recipes call for 1/3 cup, which implies it's the Thai version.
I use the commercial as my clue that I'm done. I just tune it out while I pack up my workout equipment. As for the meditation video, I have no idea how anyone can meditate with Briohny constantly talking :-)
I accidentally put in that I ate sugar and then kept adding to it, hoping it would round out back to zero, but it doesn't. Now it looks like i ate 32 servings of sugar today.
Good for you, I've lost 17lbs now and am really confident I'll keep losing. Do the fuel if you can, It really helps.
Answer this question (please read answers below before posting)...
I asked about a neutral flavor for making soup last week, I guess I have my answer now.
Where is the information about grams of sugar per meal in the ignite instructions? I know to avoid added sugar but haven't been counting the naturally occuring grams in fruit,
2 of my friends have signed up for Daily Burn at my recommendation, but there is no-where for them to say I referred them on the sign up page.
