Yeah, I've been using the videos to change up my cardio a bit everyday, but I still do my regular weight routines. Thanks for the answers folks!
I always workout right after work, but the last two days it has been raining right when I get off work. So when I get back to the house, I just do not want to work out (I've still forced myself, my heart wasn't in them though). Anybody else run across any similar problems? If so, any tips on fighting through it?
I'm not a fan of tofu, but I try to avoid as much soy as possible. Have you thought about cottage cheese or greek yogurt, those are pretty healthy alternatives for extra protein boosts.
If your muscles are sore a day or two after your workout, then it means you had a good workout. The soreness comes from micro-tears in the muscle and your body is rebuilding itself to be able to compensate for the next time it has to bear that load. IE you are building muscle. Stretching and foam rolling can help with the pain, but don't over work your legs or it will take longer to heal
I usually use Optimum Nutrition's Whey the same that firematches recommended, but I'm trying out the 100% Whey by GNC right now, it mixes easier, but there are a few more carbs in it than I'd prefer.
Today I will do what others won't, so tomorrow I can do what others can't
Were you using weights for training during softball? If so, maybe just using body weight exercises to help even out the muscle tone.
Awesome, I will have to try that
My main goal is weight loss, that being said, I'm not exactly going to shy away from any flexibility or toning that comes along with these workouts, haha.
I'm pretty pumped about it too!
Thanks man, that's a big help
I've been easing into the "paleo diet" for the past couple of weeks. Does anyone have any good blogs they can recommend, or paleo cook books?
My advice is to stay the course, I've always been an emotional eater too, so I know where you're coming from. But this year, I've been hell bent on working out and eating right, and in the past few weeks I've noticed that instead of wanting to eat something, my focus has been more towards wanting to work out, or just go outside when things get nasty inside ha. But if you fall down today then get back up and do better tomorrow. Think about all the times you succeed as opposed to focusing on the few times you don't. Anyway, hope this helped!
I joined the Hydrate All Day challenge.
