How many gluten points would one pita bread be? Since it's one serving of gluten is it one? Or does it have to be a certain weight etc? Thanks!
Starting my first DB15 workout tomorrow morning. Has anyone else tried the program? Thoughts? Did you see results after 15 days?
Clearly I'm a noob! Any advice is really welcome!
I've been doing the MOVE program for about a week now.. I think it's fun, but I don't know if it will help me shed the pounds... anyone else trying it and seeing results? Recommendations for other programs?
Im going on a business trip at the end of the month and will be in the detox part of ignite. Im worried about eating away from home, and especially how to have the shake in the morning when I'm at a hotel! Help please!
Just finished my first week on balance... didn't see any results on the scale, but I'll give it some time, as I did lose 10lbs during ignite! the weekend was greaet, and I got to enjoy a great home cooked meal and a couple of glasses of wine and still stayed within the balance points!
I have vega in chocolate and berries...and i agree- they taste gross... especially the berry one.... but! i have been making smoothies with mixed berries, almond milk and water. I even found chocolate almond milk (with cocoa and not sugar) and they are definitely better! Also, you will get used to it after a few days... i just finished the detox and can stand it now ;)
I've been using Vega as well (since the fuel isnt shipped to Canada!) and I'm finding it quite good - you have to get used to the taste FOR SURE, but nutrionally its great. My naturopath doctor friend recommended the brand to me.
PS I like the chocolate one the best :)
don't give up! it depends on what your goals are with ignite.. if you have a lot of weight to lose (like me) you'll see results right away (10 lbs in the 21 day detox). But if you only have 10lbs to lose, it won't come off right away. Like someone said, try measuring yourself. And I think you should ONLY weigh yourself once a week - keeps you sane and its a nice reward if you did lose. Do you feel better on ignite (more energy, less cravings etc)? Then it's worth it already! You can do it! :)
I recently did a business trip for almost a week and was very worried about this as well!
Breakfast: I pureed some berries, packed it in a zip lock tupperware and stored it along with almond milk in the mini bar fridge. I took zip lock baggies of protein powder and shook the berries, almond milk, powder and water in a big water bottle to have my morning shake.
Lunch/ Dinner: I look for gluten free options on restaurant menus. Then I ask the server to take out any cheese or other dairy products. That has generally worked for me - I don't get stuck on salad all the time, and generally get some meat and veggies in :)
I hope that helps!
Are you asking in terms of tracking your food? I haven't been using an app, but I try and log in to educate myself and just make smart choices. Each day on ignite, there is a new article for your to read and learn. Use that as your guidance if you can't track your food on a daily basis.
Great tip - thanks!
