I'm now on Day 5 and just watched the video. For me it was SO spot-on about detox--I felt absolutely miserable yesterday (after three good days) and the cake-and-pizza cravings were very strong. I woke up today feeling a lot better post-shake, though still feeling a bit low energy. Hoping to feel more energetic soon! How have everyone else's experiences been? Especially curious to hear from those in the second week of the program, but would also love to befriend anyone doing Ignite! :-)
Thanks for asking this question--got my shipment the other day and wasn't sure if I'd been measuring right. I was using a small ice cream scoop and was worried i was using too much powder the first couple of days. Luckily my ice cream scoop and the shake scoop are about the same size. :-)
Hi all! Am loving DailyBurn. I did the Pilates workout with JR today, which was great. I had trouble supporting my neck (and not straining it) during the first part of the workout. Is there a best practice in this regard? I ended up using a towel to prop myself up, but it impacted my vertical motion range a bit. Is this just something that'll just improve over time, or is there something else I can do? Thanks so much for your help! :-)
Right?! I've so been looking forward to this program.
I did yesterday also due to wine--and then bread to go with the wine. Okay, and then a cheeky taste of lobster ravioli. Really dreaded pressing that ReIgnite button; hope to stick to it this time! :-)
Jen, TOTALLY feel you-- we were at an Italian place and that is my weakness. I think I may just have to avoid Italian cuisine until Ignite is over, at least! Rhaden, that was the feeling I had today--it's Restaurant Week in NYC and I didn't want to feel totally left out of the "gourmet experience". Like you say, I'm sure my friends wouldn't have actually cared if I had the wine or not (more for them!). And even if they did care, I need to learn to not let that derail me. If anyone needs an Ignite buddy I'd love to team up; my friends don't have the portion control/stress eating issues I do and my fiance is just like "Whatever, you look great." Sweet, but not entirely helpful! :-)
I did today. I had a self-defiant moment, basically, where I was at lunch with friends and was, like, why shouldn't I have a glass of red wine? One turned to two, and then some bread. Eek! Am frustrated with myself, but I know it doesn't mean I have to go back to eating terribly again. We'll all just try again! :-)
It's for so many reasons. I'm getting married later this year and while admittedly it would be great to look great in my dress, I'm far more concerned with spending a long, healthy life with my awesome husband-to-be. He's quite active and I'd love to finally be able to keep up with him. I also wonder if this will help with my mood disorder (along with being monitored by a professional, of course) and stress. Since I travel so much for work am a bit worried about longevity, but I don't have to travel this month so now is the best time to start! Have struggled with my weight since I was 8...17 years is enough! We can do it :-)
I totally agree! I've recently started the MOVE! program and enjoy it, but would really love to have a ballet component as well.
