Beyer\u2019s advice: Your dish should have four to five ingredients, tops. (Hello, <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyburn.com\/life\/recipes\/easy-party-snacks-recipes\/\" target=\"_blank\">three-ingredient party snacks<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p><strong>2. Cut with knives you love.<br \/>\n<\/strong>\u201cA knife is my best friend,\u201d says Beyer. \u201cYou want to pick a knife that feels comfortable in your hand.\u201d And once you\u2019ve found a tool that suits you, practice makes perfect. \u201cMy knife skills have gotten 150 percent better over the years,\u201d says Beyer. Translation: You\u2019ll be faster at chopping, dicing and mincing. The quicker you can prep ingredients, the <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyburn.com\/life\/health\/meal-prep-ideas-healthy-eating\/\" target=\"_blank\">less time you\u2019ll need to spend in the kitchen<\/a> \u2014 a win in our book! When Beyer\u2019s in the mood for something with a kick, he likes to add cayenne or some Cajun seasoning to dishes. \u201cA little goes a long way,\u201d he notes. And this chef knows spicy \u2014 he <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=t-AyD5lQ6h0&amp;feature=youtu.be\" target=\"_blank\">bottles his own hot sauce<\/a>. Need some flavor ideas?
