The pairs compete against each other to test which expert&#8217;s weight loss plan is most effective. Here, he gives us a behind-the-scenes look at how he&#8217;s helped contestant Kurt lose 37\u00a0pounds so far. But every nutritionist, bodybuilder, and athlete worth his or her salt knows that \u201c<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/fatburningman.com\/dear-abel-how-do-you-get-six-pack-abs\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">six packs<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> are made in the kitchen.\u201d Exercise is great for overall well-being, but if you want to drop fat, the vast majority of your results will come from eating the right foods. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Given Kurt\u2019s past injuries to his spine from his car accident, high-impact activities like running simply aren&#8217;t\u00a0good for him. And it\u2019s also not necessary to lose fat. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For the sake of his health and happiness, <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I encourage Kurt to <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyburn.com\/life\/fitness\/news-surgeon-general-walk-090915\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">walk briskly<\/a> outside every day. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To make sure that he loses fat and retains or even builds muscle, I\u2019m also having Kurt lift objects and complete limited strength-based, <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyburn.com\/life\/db\/365-fdny-firefighter-workout\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">functional workouts<\/a> at home. Gaining muscle will sacrifice his progress in the \u201cweight loss\u201d competition, but I promised him that his health will ALWAYS come first. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">With <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/fatburningman.com\/what-is-the-wild-diet\/\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Wild Diet<\/span><\/i><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, Kurt is losing fat, not muscle.
