Karen Asp

Karen Asp is an Indiana-based journalist and author who specializes in fitness, health, nutrition, pets and travel. A former contributing editor for Woman’s Day, she writes regularly for dozens of leading publications, including Better Homes and Gardens, Cooking Light, Cosmopolitan, Delta Sky, Eating Well, Family Circle, Forks Over Knives, Good Housekeeping, Harper’s Bazaar, Martha Stewart Living, O, Prevention, Real Simple, Redbook, Runner’s World, SELF, Shape, USA Today, WebMD, Weight Watchers and Women’s Health. Asp is also a certified personal trainer, health advocate and a plant-powered athlete with three Nordic walking world records to her name. She uses a stand-up desk in her office, meditates at least 10 minutes every morning and eats two squares of vegan dark chocolate daily.
