Mango Lassi Protein Smoothie Recipe

Mango is a nutrient-packed fruit, extremely rich in minerals, antioxidants, fiber and vitamins (especially A and C).  It also carries digestive enzymes that when combined with the probiotics in yogurt, help your systems run a little more smoothly. Yogurt also provides this fruity Indian-inspired drink with plenty of protein (18 grams!), plus calcium, vitamin B-12, potassium and magnesium. It’s what we like to think of as a super drink!

Mango Lassi Protein Smoothie Recipe

Serves 1

The Skinny

Per 8-ounce serving:

  • 200 cal
  • 1.5 g fat
  • 26 g carbs
  • 85 mg sodium
  • 2 g fiber
  • 18 g protein

Total time: 3 minutes

Ingredients

3/4 cup frozen mango chunks
3/4 cup (one 6-ounce container) plain nonfat Greek yogurt
1/2 cup cold water
1/2 teaspoon lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon maple syrup
Dash of vanilla extract
Pinch of cardamom
1 teaspoon chopped pistachios

Preparation

  1. Combine all ingredients together in a blend and mix until smooth. Pour into a glass and top with pistachios.
