Thanks to Instagram and some wildly inventive food bloggers out there, you don’t need to place an order for an edible bouquet of ruby strawberry roses, pineapple sunflowers and kiwi water lilies any longer. With the right tools, a little technique and some creativity, you can master the art of fruit flower making. Most food bloggers out there recommend using a mandolin or spiralizer (with a thick-cutting blade) to julienne fruit into equally thin slices. You can also use a regular kitchen knife, but it may take longer, and you might not be able to achieve uniformity.
As for what to put them on? We’re loving flora-adorned oatmeal, smoothie bowls or even toast. Here are some creative and deliciously gorgeous edible blooms to top your meals.
